I am keeping track of my daily steps as part of this phase of my journey. One of my goals this 90 day stretch is at least 10000 tracked steps a day. Here is where I am at so far

I am averaging 12 thousand and change steps a day so far. I am very happy with this number, considering on the 9th that the steps I did manage were from the couch to the bathroom the day I resembled the guy in the “man cold” commercial that was begging his wife to call his mom for him. I am on my way in the steps department.
Once again every bite of food I ate today was tracked and I was under my calorie goal once again. Was telling my wife while I think I am eating a little less than I was on WW, I have not once felt hungry over the last week. I am working to eat foods in proper portions, and I am not feeling deprived, or full. I am happy with how its been going thus far. As I have said before, I think weight watchers is a great program, and I would encourage others to try it. I just don’t think I gave it the best chance to succeed for me. I am not ruling out ever going back, but I am going to give this new method (counting calories) a good 90 days before making any further nutrition changes.
So interesting to be following your blog because I, too, just changed from WW to counting calories just a couple weeks ago, and so far it has been going great for me. Just like you, I feel WW is a great program (and I had success on it). But right now the calorie-counting thing is really working so much better for me. Counting points was making me feel very deprived, and I noticed I was skipping out on some foods that are really good for me (avocados and nuts, for example) because I was afraid to eat such high-point items. Now I’ve been able to add them back into my diet and I feel really good about it. I am much less hungry and I don’t feel as deprived at all. I think giving your “experiment” 90 days is a great idea. I’ll be doing it right along with you. So far, so good!
Thanks for visiting and following my cycling blog. I am really pleased to have found yours and will be following with interest. I have been calorie counting to manage my weight for many years and I find it works very well. It makes one very conscious of the calories in different foods.
So, Shane – - thanks for following my blog, “The Kingdom of John.” I appreciate that a lot. I tend to have a weight problem also. Have you by any chance ever checked out the site, “Spark People?” I have used them to some advantage and their stuff is . . .FREE! Here is some more about it:

Whoa! That’s a lot of steps! I’m lucky if I can get in what feels like 200 steps a day aside from my gym cardio. Looks like I’m going to have to compete with you on the steps a day, even though you won’t know I’m completing with you! Maybe that will help me lose my 50 lbs I’ve gotta lose. Good stuff!
PS Thanks for the follow
I used to do WW too and a budget crisis forced me to find something free so I do the Lose It! app too and I am having a lot more success on that then I ever did at WW. I love what you are doing here, thanks for checking out my blog and the follow!
